well its you know the world has gone absolutely crazy you know people should spend more time with there children in stead of ranting about how unsafe things can be life is too short
i used to sell via ebay however it has all gotten really silly with this whole subject
i can not even sell even if the item is listed as an ornament!!!!
the word has gone bonkers
ebay is full of very poor goods that children have there little hands on every day
i feel cheated by ebay as i am very good at what i do.never the less i can manage with out them as i sell to all over the world now.
but yes the are stunning and many people still buy them despite them being a display item. my son does use his for special occasions.
i send all my dummies out with a guide of how to look after it and check it for any imperfections. i also offer free replacement crystal make over for any crystals that may become loose over the first year.

dummies are also supplied with a fact sheet on swarovski in this it gives you details of how much lead content is in them and also where they are from.
thanks for your reply to my rant

Agreed Jo - they are great as a Christening gift, etc - and you are correct when you say that no baby should be left unattended with a pacifier.

The point we are making is that they could pose a risk, as the crystals are made from glass and contain lead - not an ideal baby toy!

But still, they are lovely to look at!

oh and i forgot to say before you people start the glue i use is non toxic and if you are a mummy not supervising your child with a soother you are actually not following the guidelines to any soother as a plain soother carrys its own risk also
you could go on and on, so i guess we should all be wrapping our children in bubble wrap or cotton wool. as nothing is safe really is it???

read about swarovski first as the content of lead in one of these crystals is actually very very low. or so swarovski state !!! most of these soothers are bought as a replacement to the traditional silver gifts at christenings
and are considered as a novelty item
get real some of your can be so to the letter at times ... each crystal is aprox 2.6 mm so so tiny. my son has a better chance of choking on a rice grain from his breakfast are we going to remove this from the shelf as well.
message to all you haters out there get a grip!!!
i have made these as gifts for people and i have never had a one returned to me with missing crystal.
i can think of many other dangerous things being sold to thousands of buyers that dont hold a kite mark or that have been hand crafted by others. which pose deadly risks
go bother them for a while.
